My Story
As a child, I was known as the outgoing, silly, and happy kid. But during my teen years that playfulness faded, and I began to struggle massively with my mental health. Social media was one of the main culprits in my decline. I felt like I needed to look a certain way, act a certain way, and talk a certain way in order to be valuable. This pressure resulted in both struggling with my body-image and low self-worth. Things changed for me when I was finally willing to ask for and receive help from others. I discovered what it means to have a healthy relationship with food, friends, exercise, play, and nature. It is only through the development of this lifestyle for myself that I feel I am able to work with my clients. I love working with teens and kids because I stay connected with my own childlike nature. I get to bring that same outgoing, silly, and happy kid into the therapy room to connect with my clients on their level. I extend my therapeutic support for parents as well—offering a listening ear, practical suggestions, helpful ways of thinking about their child.
My Commitment To You
During your hardest times, I commit to holding space for you and providing expert clinical care. I commit to listening to you, understanding you, supporting you, and encouraging you. My hope is that we form an honest, trusting, and authentic relationship where you know I’m in your corner.
My Life Outside of Work
You can often catch me taking a yoga class or resting at the park with sunshine on my skin. At home I love to cook and challenge myself to learn new recipes. Of course, I can’t go too long without connecting with my close friends and loved ones over the phone or on FaceTime. Spirituality and mindfulness are really important elements of my life, and I consider myself on a lifelong journey of learning and growing.
Beyond that, I really look forward to meeting you and learning more about your story!
