My Story

After I had my son, I noticed a persistent fog clouding my mind. I knew something was wrong, but I brushed it off as just one of those “new mom” things. But there it was, almost like it was trying to ruin my day on purpose. I spent so much time battling it, stuck between wondering what was wrong with me and trying desperately to push it away. I clung to my routines, held tightly to my baby, and tried to live the same life I had before—but now with a heavy weight of fear and shame no one else could see. For over a year, I accepted my suffering because I was afraid. Afraid of change, or afraid of what I might uncover beneath the anxiety. Afraid that admitting how I really felt would somehow mean I wasn’t a good mom—or a good person.

Over time I learned how to take better care of myself, realign my unfair expectations, define my values, and see my thoughts for what they are- just thoughts. Calm and clarity didn’t happen over night- these take time to cultivate with self-compassion and lots of grace. But if there’s one thing I wish I could tell myself looking back, it’s this: trust yourself and share what you’re feeling with others.

I’ve spent over a decade working with children, families, and individuals as they work through challenges like disability, anxiety, family conflict, and trauma. One thing I’ve learned: the best way to help kids is to support their parents. Children don’t need perfection—they need caregivers who feel healthy, empowered, and connected. I believe individuals and families benefit from a therapist who brings both clinical insight and practical tools. I work from a steady, caring presence as someone who can stay objective while offering support that makes sense in real life. I received my clinical training at a Trauma & PTSD outpatient hospital, where I was trained in evidence-based practices that helped the majority of clients improve their mood, return to work, and rebuild connection and purpose in their lives.

While my professional background gives me proven tools to help you feel better, it’s my lived experience—as a military spouse and mother—that fuels my passion and empathy. Clients often tell me they feel safe and truly cared for in our sessions. I genuinely dedicate myself to our time together, and my goal is that you leave each session with clarity and confidence to trust yourself and implement what we discuss in session into your life.

My Commitments to You

My hope for our time together is that you feel supported, knowing that you no longer have to carry your burdens alone. I commit to creating a warm and safe environment for you to share your story. I believe you are innately equipped with unique strengths and it’s my job to bring out the best in you for yourself and your family.

I value your time and understand that therapy is both a time and financial commitment. I intentionally see clients via telehealth, and I offer sessions in the early mornings as well as evenings to be able to accommodate the busy schedules of parents and working professionals. I love working with a broad range of clients from people who have never tried therapy before and are giving it a shot to people who have been in and out of therapy their whole lives and are looking for a fresh perspective. Wherever you are on your journey, I will meet you there.

I offer the first session free of charge because you deserve to know if this is the right investment for you. My work is rooted in genuine care, clinical excellence, and a personable approach to help you feel safe with me so we can get to the root of what’s going wrong. If you’re paying out-of-pocket, you deserve to know that every session delivers value—and I’m here to provide that from day one.

My Life Outside Work

I love animals. My cat Pepper is my constant playmate. I have also ridden horses for much of my life and find them to be magnificent creatures. Weekends are family time, and you’ll often find us on a hiking trail, at the zoo, or searching new playgrounds for my son to run wild. Kickboxing, going on walks with friends, and reading are some of my favorite kinds of self-care. Though if I could, I would spend all day with an awesome fantasy novel.
